Overview

The Helix Kids mattress is a hybrid, flippable design made especially for growing children (approx. ages 3‑12). The 8″ “standard” height model combines springs and foam, with one side firmer for younger kids, and the other side softer for when they get older. It’s designed with safety, durability, and comfort in mind.

Construction & Materials

• Hybrid Build: Combines individually wrapped coils (springs) in the core for support, edge reinforcement, and airflow. Dual / Flippable Sides:

  • Firmer Side: Geared toward younger children (approx. ages 3‑7), providing more solid foam layers for spinal support.

  • Softer Side: With memory foam (gel‑infused) or plush foam for comfort, for older kids (≈ ages 8‑12) who prefer more cushioning while still having support. 

• Cover: Soft, breathable TENCEL™ fabric with a water‑repellent finish and antimicrobial treatment (reduces odors / bacteria) for kid‑friendly protection. 

• Certifications & Safety:

  • CertiPUR‑US® foams (meaning it meets certain chemical safety and material standards)

  • GREENGUARD Gold certification for low emissions / indoor air quality. 

  • Tested for lead & phthalates; fire retardant without fiberglass. 

  • Comfort & Feel

    • The mattress has two feel levels depending on which side you sleep on:

      • Medium‑Firm (≈ 6/10) on the firmer side. 

      • Medium‑Soft (≈ 4/10) on the softer side.

    • Good edge support (thanks to the coil core). 

    • Pressure relief is better on the softer side because of the memory foam top layer.
